In this thread I am going to explain the basics of World Wide Web. When you enter a URL on your web browser like Firefox or Internet Explorer it is converted in to the following parts.

1. Hyper Text Transfer Protocol or https

2. Convert domain name in to server IP address by global DNS server.

3. Server reply with the exact file which is requested.

So the process is like this. When you enter the web site address on the address bar the browser determine what kind of protocol used. It can be ftp,https or http. Then after selecting the protocol your computer needs to know the IP address of the web site. The web site IP address is derived from the server IP on which the web site is hosted. So your computer send request to global DNS server which is mapping the domain name in to the web site IP address. So it is must that all computers connected to the Internet know the global DNS server address. After getting the IP address of the web site your computer sends request to the web server for the particular file. Web server will reply to the request by sending the requested file.

In shared web-hosting our site and other websites shares one server. So the problem is if one site is taking so much of server CPU power it will slow down other sites. The solution is bye one full server space. But the cost will be very high compared to shared web-hosting. The advantage is we can expect full functionality of the server for our web-site.
